STATEMENT OF FAITH

CrossPoint Ministry is built on the following foundations of faith:

The Inerrancy of the Bible

The scriptures, which include the Old and New Testaments, are divinely inspired and represent the infallible and authoritative word of God in all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Tim. 3:15-17; 1 Thess. 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21)

Belief in One True God

There is one eternal God, existent in three persons - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; Isa. 43:10-11; Matt. 28:19; Luke 3:22)

Jesus Christ is Fully God and Fully Man

The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. Born of a virgin (Matt. 1:23; Luke 1:31-35) Lived a Sinless life (Heb. 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22; Heb. 4:15) Died on the Cross to atone for our sins (1Cor. 15:3; 2 Cor. 5:21) Bodily rose from the dead (Acts 2:33; Heb. 10:12) He will return to earth in power and glory (Zech. 14:5; Matt. 24:27; Rev. 19:11-14)

Salvation

Man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace through fatih when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and we are cleansed from sin through repentance and regeneration of the Holy Spirit. (John 3:3; Luke 24:46-47; Rom. 10:13; Eph. 2:8; Titus 3:5-7; Jn. 6:63)

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit, our abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide, indwells and empowers every believer in Jesus Christ. (Rom. 8:11; Rom. 8:26-27; Jn. 15:26; Jn. 14-16-17; Isa. 61; Acts 1:8; 1 Cor. 2:10)

The Church

The church is the Body of Christ, the fellowship of all believers. Christians have been called out from the world to obey the teachings of Christ and serve as His ambassadors and co-laborers. (Matt. 18:18-20; John 15:19-20; Eph. 1:22-23; Eph. 5:23; 1 Cor. 3:9; 2 Cor. 5:20)

Baptism in Water

In obedience to God's Word, every believer should be baptized in water. (Matt. 28:19; Acts 10:47) Baptism in water is an outward expression of what Jesus has done for us. It represents dying to your old life and being resurrected to a new life in Christ.

Holy Communion

The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience in which we partake of the bread and the fruit of the vine, remembering the death of Jesus and anticipating His return. (1 Cor. 11:23-26) Through communion we can receive healing for our bodies and by faith say, "cleanse me, fill me and use me for Your glory!"

Eternity

There will be a final judgement and the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation. (Matt. 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Rev. 19:20; Rev. 21:8) Those who have received Christ and have a relationship with God through Him will never die and will forever be with the Lord. (John 11:26; 1 Thes. 4:17; 1 John 2:17)
